We provide cutting-edge
Bill of Materials (BOM) / Cut List / Mill List / Feature
Recognition detailing software and Services based on
SmartLister (patented), SmartModeling, and SmartMachining
technology. AutoCAD® versions 2000-2007 are supported.
Why SmartLister and not some other
detailing software?
In a nut shell, SmartLister's
approach is exactly 180 degrees different from all of
our competitor's software.
All of our competitor's require that you create complex
formulas and parameters to drive the graphics on the
screen. When you want your cut list or output to CNC,
your exported data is derived from the formula database
you created. If there is no formula, then you have no
data to export! Doing complicated assemblies with their
method is difficult and time consuming, if not impossible.
Typically, the programming required to do this sort
software is extremely easy to code and yields quick,
but simplistic results. What do you do if it is not
simple? Do you spend considerable more time trying to
get some cumbersome software to create the graphics
and hope the cut list will be correct, when just drawing
it in 2D, cut listing it by hand, and programming your
CNC by hand for each part is clearly the faster way
to go? Do you then try and justify the additional time
required by saying that you now have 3D assembly and
mistakes will be minimal? There is never a justification,
when there is a superior method available.
There is a better way.
Only SmartLister
actually measures and feature recognizes the graphics
on the screen. This approach is the most intuitive there
is. Just draw it in 3D, like you would build it in the
shop, and SmartLister will generate the manufacturing
data. No matter how complicated the assemblies become,
the process is always easy, fast and straight-forward.
You do not need to be a mathematician to use SmartLister.
You only need to know how to actually build cabinets
in the shop and then draw it in 3D. It does not get
any simpler or easier than that. The results are clearly
an improvement. Simple drawings can be done at about the same
speed as any parametrically based software, but the
complicated custom assemblies are handled with better speed and ease. The reason why no other detailing
software does this is because we have invented and patented
the only solution that makes this approach possible.

Please note that SmartLister now does
6-sided feature recognition.
SmartLister will automatically
measure your selected 3D AutoCAD® solids and then quickly
and easily create Bill of Materials, Cut Lists, Mill
Lists and CNC ready DXF files.
SmartModeling, bundled with SmartLister, will
allow you to easily stretch multiple 3D solids and assemblies
in one operation, as well as move, copy, erase, mirror,
array and copy-rotate multiple holes in multiple solids
in one operation.
MillLister, Inc. also
sells Progressive
Wood Works SmartMachining module. This
add-on module will add holes for hinges, line drilling,
drawer guides, confirmat® screws,& dowels, and even
tongue & grove, dados and rabbets, and even erase multiple
holes in one operation.
You can see
more about SmartMachining here.
Automatically measuring multiple solids with
orientation information, and stretching multiple solids
are not found in any other CAD application.
SmartLister and SmartModeling give you the tools
for design freedom, manufacturing and speed. You can
throw away parametrics, formulas, rules and constraints.
Your drawings stay in a native AutoCAD® format for collaboration
with other trades. It is fast, easy, and only takes
20 minutes to learn!
SmartLister is a straightforward no-nonsense
approach that actually works today.
What could be simpler and more straight-forward than
just drawing the objects you want, stretching them if
you need to change their size, and then automatically
measuring them to create a cut list?. Detailing can
actually be a fun and fulfilling job. We put creativity
and functionality back in your hands, where it belongs.
